Greenspun Media Group announces promotions in key leadership roles

Key leadership roles within the Greenspun Media Group were reorganized Wednesday to better serve advertisers in its five weekly print publications and the company’s news, feature, business and entertainment websites.

“The end result will be a more logically organized structure that unifies the company,” said Robert Cauthorn, GMG’s chief operating officer. “But moreover, it will make it easier for our advertisers to tap the various print and digital platforms that are most appropriate in reaching their audiences.”

To achieve these goals:

• Travis Keys, who is publisher of GMG’s award-winning entertainment magazine Las Vegas Weekly and The Sunday, the company’s innovative new weekly feature and news publication, was promoted to group publisher, responsible for all advertising products within the Greenspun Media Group.

• Donn Jersey, who remains publisher of the company’s digital publications, is now also publisher of The Sunday.

• Jamal Parker was promoted from general sales manager to associate publisher for Las Vegas Magazine and

Vegas2Go, which are aimed primarily at the tourism market.

• Mark De Pooter was promoted from advertising director of Las Vegas Weekly, The Sunday and VEGAS INC to associate publisher for Las Vegas Weekly.

• Stephanie Reviea, previously director of sales operations for VEGAS INC, Las Vegas Weekly and The Sunday, is elevated to group director of sales operations.

• Guy Bertuzzi remains sales manager for Las Vegas Magazine and Vegas2Go.

• Katie Horton will have an expanded role as associate publisher for interactive, a title she has held for a year.

• Mike Uriarte remains as director of marketing and events with expanded responsibilities.

The announcements were made the same day that the websites for Las Vegas Weekly and VEGAS INC won top honors in Editor & Publisher magazine’s prestigious EPPY Awards that honor the best online media sites worldwide. Lasvegasweekly.com and vegasinc.com.were named, respectively, the best entertainment and business/finance websites with less than 1 million unique monthly visitors.
